The Great Gatsby is one of my all time favourite books, so I was rather unimpressed when I found out that Baz Luhrmann of Moulin Rouge infamy was going to direct the film. The only thing that gives me a glimmer of hope is Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan. She was amazing in ‘An Education’ and ‘Never Let Me Go’ and although I doubt I’ll see the film I think she is perfect casting.
